PDF Version of Task
Description: In this assignment, you and your teammates will work together as the editorial team of a new political website called ElectionSPACE.com. In just a few days, you will launch your website. For weeks your crack team of researchers and ambitious interns has been compiling a number of resources, documents, videos, images, and all sorts of other information related to the history of elections. Your mission is to read, summarize, and assess these pieces of information, and then to create the front page of the website with the goal of grabbing the attention of the public by using this information in the best possible way.

Required Features To Include
  1. Attention Grabbing Headline.
  2. Captions for images or graphs.
  3. Selection of a minimum of five pieces of content for your website.
  4. Quick summary of main points of articles or primary sources.
  5. Explanation tying these various elements together.

Other Features to Consider
  1. Arrangement of Materials: What is the most effective way to arrange the materials? To grab attention? To share information? To keep the reader/ viewer engaged?
  2. Use of Language: When you write a headline, or title an article, think about what sort of language is likely to engage the attention of your reader.
  3. What’s the angle? Think about your purpose in assembling these materials- there are a number of stories you can tell, which is the best for your purposes?
  4. User interface: In terms of online engagement, think about your favorite websites- what do they look like? How does the user engage with the material? What makes one arrangement better than another?
  5. Use your imagination, and the strengths of your teammates.
